Eatonville Special Services

Message from the Director

Welcome!

Welcome to Eatonville Special Services on the Web. I'm glad you're here!

The purpose of this new web site is to provide you with information regarding the provision of Special Education Services in the Eatonville School District. We have also taken this a step further and provided you with up-to-date education news through links on the News page, current events on the Events page, plenty of learning resources useful to learners of all abilities and ages and more!

As you explore this site, you will see information about some of the Eatonville School District educational programs. These programs span the continuum from the remedial (not special education) Title/LAP program to programs for our highest-needs students. Our programs are specialized enough to address student needs with the greatest knowledge, experience and efficacy for our students. Yet, these special education programs are diverse and flexible enough to allow us to meet individual students' learning needs and allow them to participate, to the greatest extent possible, with their non-disabled peers, per their IEP team's recommendation.

Exciting news includes our recent partnership with the Pierce County Parks and Recreation Companionship Program which is a recreation and leisure program for individuals with special needs. We are truly excited about this partnership.

Whether you are a student, a parent, a teacher, an administrator or a community member, we would like to know how to better serve you. Please take a short survey to help us better meet our students' and the community's needs.

Please let me know what you think of our new web site. If there is something you would like to see added, please don't hesitate to let us know. As always, I value your input.

TOGETHER, We commit to excellence in education and preparation for life

For all of our learners,

David Jacobson, Director of Special Services
