Chance to Change

Students in the Change to Change (6-12) programs have significant difficulty adjusting to the behavioral demands of the middle school and high school environments. This program emphasizes small class size with individualized instruction tailored to each student's abilities and needs. In addition, an emphasis on technology utilizing the computerized PLATO system allows the students to make progress in the curriculum and, for high school students, earn high school credits. Most students also take some classes with their general education peers. This program allows students to efficiently and effectively work toward vocational programming by 11th grade if this is compatible with the student's transition plan. All students in the Chance to Change (6-12) programs must have an Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

Note: The Independent Study Center (ISC) offers the PLATO system for high school students who do not have an IEP. Contact Eatonville High School for more information on the ISC program.
